南西ロンドン出身のGwamzには注目を集める効果がある。最近外出したなら、「French Tips」featuring Efosaを聞いたかもしれない。フックが来る前から視線を集めてしまう曲だ。ラジオでもDJ SemtexがCapital XTRAで、Ellie ProhanがKISS XTRAでそれを取り上げている。しかし本当の注目は、新しいEP「Life of the Party」(下のトレーラーを参照)にある。 7曲収録されているが、あえてジャンルにはこだわらない。「HOT GURLZ」は純粋なバウンス、「VIBRATE」featuring BXKSはスマートで鋭い、「YAGI」は言葉が届くよう呼吸を感じさせる。Skeetеとのソールドアウトツアー(The Lower Third、Islington Assembly Hallでの公演)を経て、自信に満ちた作品になっている。ガーナ系の素性、南ロンドンの粋、トレンドに踊らされない。 私たちは、ノイズではなく存在感、ジャンルではなくムードについて話し合った。そして、人々が何か感じ取れなければパーティーの意味はないということについて。
